We ask that you arrive early or on time - we will be starting at 7:45pm sharp.
From Jewish tradition we inherit a day when we hold all our broken pieces. On Tisha B'av we gather to mourn our losses, commemorating the destruction of home and life. This year, our grief includes the horror that is ongoing police violence against communities of color. We hope that gathering together to express our heartbreak will strengthen our commitment to taking action for black lives.
The gathering will include art, song, poetry, chanting from Eicha/Lamentations, silence, and Mourner's Kaddish.
