DJJ is building our inaugural Board of Trustees!
After 7 years under the loving wing of Congregation T’Chiyah, Detroit Jews for Justice is launching as our own independent nonprofit. One huge part of that process is the creation of our inaugural Board of Trustees. Are you committed to the mission of mobilizing metro Detroit Jews in movements for racial and economic justice? Are you excited about supporting the programs of DJJ and participating in visionary, strategic thinking for the organization? Then you might be a great candidate for our first Board of Trustees!
We are so excited to tap the genius of our community to build out this governing body! Because we are a relatively small organization, the Board of Trustees is considered a “working board.” This means that trustees not only attend meetings, but also carry out some of the tasks themselves. This can include anything from helping with fundraisers to speaking at public events or supporting some of the administrative work of the organization.
If you’re interested in applying or want to nominate someone, please fill out this brief questionnaire and we’ll reach out to you for next steps.
