To the DJJ Community,
The importance of building grassroots power has never been clearer. As we approach 2025, we’re bracing ourselves for many difficult battles to maintain our progressive values and carry out our mission: to advance racial and economic justice by developing Metro Detroit Jews as community organizers who fight for transformative policy change in deep partnership with our neighbors.
By getting on the same page about our values, visions, strategies, and tactics we can counter the regressive forces and articulate a progressive vision of the future. DJJ is a space for us to do that – to be in generative struggle with one another over critical local issues, to be a lab testing the resonance and effectiveness of the world we want to build. In order to do that, we need….FUNDS! Welcome to end-of-year fundraising season y’all.
Our donors recognize the importance of sustaining our work, and have organized a Challenge Fund of $3,600 that will be released to DJJ if we can recruit 18 new monthly donors of at least $18. These kinds of opportunities are critical for us to sustain our organizing, and we cannot waste them. Become a monthly donor today to help us build Ha’olam Ha’Ba’ah – the world to come.
In solidarity,
Allie Zeff, Executive Director
