Want to learn about revolutionary Yiddish songs? Join Chaia for a singalong-meets-historical-exploration.
We’ll explore five little-known Yiddish songs from the early 20th century that are anti-Zionist, anti-fascist, pro-union and as relevant today as they were in 1905! Everyone will get a printable zine booklet with the songs to take home!
While these songs are anti-zionist, all are welcome to attend. DJJ's community includes people who hold various identities when it comes to Israel/Palestine. And Chaia has taught these songs many times for audiences of many different perspectives and is prepared to hold the differences sensitively and with a cultural focus.
Tickets are sliding scale: $10 - $30. Light snacks will be served!
Very Important Note: There are two steps to register for the workshop - please make sure to pay Chaia for your spot using the payment information below and let us know you'll be there by RSVPing at the bottom of this page.
