The Tunes of Purim

Wherein we share about the music that will light up our souls.

So there's two main pieces to the tunes of this titillating Tuesday: a playlist and a DJ'd dance party (bring comfortable dancing shoes!).

I put the playlist together, borrowing from playlists that Jake Ehrlich, Batya Levine, ill Weaver, & Aaron Mondry made previously (for non-Purim related occasions).

Now about this DJ. Jo(nah) Rad(uns)-Silver(stein) is a Detroit musician, producer, DJ and activist who engages and salvages sound as the medium to learn more about himself and the community around him. As a DJ, he seamlessly blends across musical timespace to connect disparate sonic threads into nonstop technicolored dreamgroove. Expect the unexpected but you still might know a lyric or two. Throw up those graggers and get down.

I know, right? Here's two ways to help us make sure that this thing comes to fruition at its full potential:

  1. RSVP! Even if you think we know you're coming, RSVP! www.detroitjewsforjustice.org/purim2019
  2. Volunteer to help with logistics by emailing [email protected]
