Workshop 1: A Crash Course in Systemic Oppression

Welcome to the first workshop in Detroit Jews for Justice's Racial Justice Education Series for our Synagogue Partners! Please RSVP below to receive the zoom link. 

In this first workshop, we'll consider a framework that examines the way oppression operates at varying levels of relationship, participants will consider various manifestations of different ‘isms’ and begin to situate themselves as agents of change. 

This workshop is 90 minutes (6:30-8pm), including a break. For this first gathering, folks are encouraged to stay an extra 10-15 mins to be put in a breakout room with other members of their congregation, where you'll find out about what your specific community's involvement in this partnership.
