Detroit Jews for Justice, The Birmingham Temple Congregation for Humanistic Judaism, Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies and Workmen's Circle/Arbeter Ring (Michigan) invite you to join us for a concert with the phenomenal Daniel Kahn & the Painted Bird on Tuesday, September 25th, 6pm at Marble Bar. We are so excited to announce that Sacramento Knoxx (photo at right by Yasmine Omari: www.yasmineomari.com) will be opening!
Based in Berlin, Daniel Kahn and the Painted Bird's music has been described as "a mixture of Klezmer, radical Yiddish song, political cabaret and punk folk.” (Daniel proudly hails from Detroit.) Not to be missed!
Buy your sliding-scale ticket below. Please consider supporting this event with a donation if you are able. Proceeds will benefit DJJ’s work for racial and economic justice and Birmingham Temple’s efforts to support a local family of Syrian refugees.
