Keshet's LGBTQ+ Belonging Workshop at Temple Emanu-El

Our tradition teaches us that we are all created in the image of the divine or “b’tselem elohim”. And while we know this to be true, we live in a world where LGBTQ+ people are routinely discriminated against and are continuously fighting to maintain the rights they have and be granted the same rights as everyone else. DJJ and Temple Emanu-El will welcome guest speakers from Keshet to offer critical training, as well organizers from the Hate Won’t Win Coalition to share how we can protect LGBTQ+ rights in our state.

Looking to better understand LGBTQ identities and definitions?  Wondering how to welcome LGBTQ folks in your Jewish community? Interested in taking action to support the rights of your fellow Michiganders? Join us on March 22nd, 2023 to continue your learning and take tangible action steps.

Childcare and a nosh will be provided!
