JOC Shavuot Celebration

The holiday of Shavuot celebrates the giving of the Torah, and is traditionally celebrated by staying up all night learning. For this Shavuot celebration, Jews of Color are invited to share their own Torah and a delicious vegetarian/vegan friendly meal in community. We'll schmooze and have the chance to reflect on whatever it is folks have brought to the space. In this case, Torah is defined as anything that is meaningful to you - a poem, song, reading, art, etc. - and no need for it to be original!

This gathering will be outdoors, with stair access to a bathroom. Please reach out to Kendra Watkins ([email protected]) with any other questions or dietary restrictions. Address will be sent to RSVPs the week of the event.

This event is made possible by Edot Midwest and the Jews of Color Initiative.
