Original, handmade art by DJJ leader Allie Zeff
I often say that Detroit Jews for Justice provided me another chance at Jewish community, but it’s even deeper: DJJ revolutionized my understanding of Judaism. Along with scores of Metro Detroit Jews, I’ve discovered deep alignment between living a Jewish life and working for an equitable world. That was made possible by donors like you.
On this #GivingTuesday, we need your help.
DJJ brings people together to build progressive power rooted in Jewish wisdom. Rabbi Alana’s cozy, book-filled living room is a microcosm of the culture we’re creating. It feels so right to do much of our work flanked by ancient Jewish texts and 20th century social movement writings. DJJniks play and practice at the intersection of these two powerful wellsprings, generating creativity and commitment.
This intersection has rekindled Judaism for many, including me. As DJJ grows bigger and bolder, we need your help to embody Jewish tradition and act for racial and economic justice. Support us in fighting for water justice, creating community through fun and nourishing holiday gatherings, and developing leaders along the way.
We’re stretching to raise $36,000 before the end of the year, and we need your help. Thank you for believing in DJJ. We are blessed to have you in our community, and grateful for your financial support.
Please help us reach $36K.
And before you go, make sure to RSVP for our annual Hannukah bash, Festival of Rights, on December 16th, 7-9 pm at the beautiful Trinosophes! RSVP here.
With gratitude,
