On May 24th, 6:30-8:30pm, our friend & comrade Oday Salim from Great Lakes Environmental Law Center will lead us in a training on how to file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. We will be using this skill to get government data that will help us in our lobbying efforts for bills in the state legislature relate to water shut-offs. The main audience of this training is People's Water Board organizations and their members but open to all --  learning to FOIA is a helpful skill to have in your organizing toolbox for whatever work you're engaged in. The location is Breakers Covenant Church International at 8801 Woodward Ave in Detroit.

*We deeply regret that this training is not ADA accessible, as the building elevator is not currently functional. The meeting room is two flights of stairs from the ground floor. We would be happy to share a recording with anyone who cannot attend.*
