Join us in rallying for Equal Pay Day in Lansing!
Men and women, young and old will gather to advocate for legislation on women's equal pay on the Capitol Steps, Tuesday, April 12th at 12:30 pm!
The date of Equal Pay Day is symbolic of how far into the new year women must work to make up for the previous year's wage shortfall. In 2014, Michigan ranked 42 out of 50 states where women earn 75 cents to a man's dollar. Pay inequity affects women, children, families, and even retirement potential.
Our DJJ contingent will join with the ACLU of Michigan, Planned Parenthood, and a host of other organizations to speak out on this important issue! RSVP to sign up for a carpool. Contact Organizing Team Co-Chair Nora Feldhusen at [email protected] or (917) 757-1258 for more info.
