For the next 3 months of meetings, the Freedom Team and Thriving Team will be combining to engage in a summer of action! The goal of this series is to help Freedom & Thriving Team Members feel comfortable, confident and empowered participating in direct action, protest, and campaign work on their own while representing DJJ.
During these workshops, we will be lifting up the full spectrum of participation in action; giving folks opportunities to engage in actions between monthly meetings as a way to participate lightly and to push ourselves; bringing in speakers, storytellers, and DJJ leaders active in Direct Action; helping us to navigate bringing all of our identities to action spaces, and more!
During our first meeting on Wednesday, June 9th from 6:30-8pm, we will be focusing on Protest and Civil Disobedience. RSVP below for the Zoom link, we hope to see you all there!
