About the Shabbaton: A Shabbaton is just what it sounds like - an extended Shabbat. It’s an opportunity to re-center, reflect, and re-energize. For June 1-3, core leaders will gather at Camp Tavor in Three Rivers, MI for an intensive weekend of relationship-building and training. Our goals are to leave more inspired, educated and equipped to do this work. We will share knowledge, build tangible skills, grow our Jewish identities, give ourselves some love, and bond as a collective of leaders. And we’ll apply what we learn to make DJJ a more cohesive and effective organization in the long haul.
Duration: The Shabbaton starts with dinner at 6pm Friday evening and concludes at 2pm Sunday afternoon. (2.5 hours from Detroit in good traffic.)
Location: Habonim Dror Camp Tavor is located at 59884 Arthur L Jones Rd, Three Rivers, MI 49093.
Directions: You basically take I-94 W the whole way. (At some points it turns into M-14 W). Take exit 74A to merge onto US-131 S toward Three Rivers. Turn right onto Coon Hollow Rd, left onto Ferguson Rd, right onto Broadway Rd, and left onto Arthur L Jones Rd where you will find Camp Tavor. There will be space for you to safely park your car.
