We envision system transformation and co-liberation with our marginalized neighbors.
We organize to alter relations of power around issues like White Supremacy, Antisemitism, Islamophobia, Police Accountability, Criminal Justice and Immigration.
MEETINGS
The Freedom Team meets on the first Monday of every month, minus every third month which will hold a DJJ General Meeting and a New Leader Orientation.
Currently, we're engaging in a three-part education arc. In our February, March and April meetings, we are working to improve our workshop facilitation skills by designing educational workshops in small groups. We will learn about how to identify a topic and conduct research on it, how to effectively facilitate a workshop, and how to design a workshop's agenda and activities. Ultimately, we will present the results and hold individual workshops at our next general meeting on May 18th.
Did you miss meeting 1? That's ok! All Freedom Team members are welcome to plug in where ever we are in the process. We ask that if you plan to come to our March team meeting that you make space on your calendar for our April team meeting and the May General meeting.
Join our next meeting on Monday, March 1st (RSVP here).
