Festival of Rights 2017

We continue to celebrate together and affirm our commitment to fighting for a just world.

DJJ does our Hannukah party like no other! Festival of Rights energizes our community through a rejuvenating spiritual evening that celebrates the year's accomplishments, lifts up our ongoing campaign work, and honors our community partners. We light our menorahs in solidarity with refugees, LGBTIQ folx, Muslims, immigrants, women, Black and Brown folxs, workers, differently-abled folx, Jews and all vulnerable communities. We light our menorahs in the face of the forces that seek to divide us.

Saturday, December 16th, 7-9 pm.

We're blessed to celebrate Festival of Rights at the beautiful Trinosophes this year (1464 Gratiot Ave, Detroit).

We'll have a silent auction of local goods & services, noshes (like fair trade gelt from T'ruah), music, community-building, and political education. All ages, abilities, and levels of engagement with DJJ welcome. This year, we'll be observing Havdallah at the start of the program. More details to come soon.

Free and open to the public. Because our space is limited, we ask that you RSVP below ahead of time.
This event is being greened by Hazon! Look out for our waste system and learn how using it helps us live our Jewish values while saving the Earth.Hazon_Logo_CMYK_300dpi.jpg
