My name is Sam Corey — I’ve met some of ya’ll before in different spaces (most likely If Not Now). I’m in graduate school now, studying remotely from metro Detroit, but I was most recently in rural California writing for a small-town newspaper. I hope you are doing well and in good health during this insane time.


I wanted to reach out because me and a guy in the worker cooperative spaces in Detroit, Desmond Burkett, are looking for people to join our core group of people to start a co-housing community in Detroit. I’m emailing ya’ll to hopefully pass this message to the DJJ community to see if there is any interest. Desmond and I are in the rudimentary stage so we’re still focused on recruitment of people who are passionate about starting a co-housing community (likely of tiny homes) in Detroit.
